That's awesome! Courts says he wants to do that, but he's such a weenie I don't think he ever really would.

HAHA, I thought about you when they said there was a tornado that touched down near Norman.

How is it only one month until your wedding? AHHH! Time sure does fly!

I was fine--we only saw a few spin ups and dust clouds--pics below. Shanda--I got to chase with one of Gary England's Chasers--ironically a dude from England. He brought his "mum" here a year ago, promised her tornadoes never hit Norman, and ironically one went through their neighborhood (minimal damage, but it wiped out houses less than 1/4 mile away). We ended up not seeing much because the storms were simply moving too fast for us to catch them!

I was in Stillwater at the time of the OKC/Norman tornadoes. Jay actually saw the debris cloud go by his apartment--ironically right next to the National Weather Center. Thank goodness I yelled at Jay not to go on a bike ride earlier--his two favorite spots to ride were hit horribly. We had a hard time getting back because we kept hitting downed power lines and roadblocks. There was some really bad damage out in the boonies, and a country grocery store collapsed--it looked bad.

Below--scud and a dust cloud near the spin ups we saw--those happened too quickly for me to get a pic, but the other people might have some

Oh, and haha, I wouldn't call it "brave" or "dangerous"--I chased with this guy:

and other meteorology majors and grad students who know what they are doing. We had internet, radars, radios, contact with the weather stations and we actively avoided the dangerous areas--we just want to see them! I would never go with people who didn't know what they are doing. It actually is probably the safest place to be on a day like this!

Those pictures are great, Marissa! Sounds like you had a good time, if that's what you call it. Tough hearing about the damage the tornados did, but I bet it's an interesting time!

Oh my gosh - I'm glad you are okay.  Crazy girl!  I thought about you, too, when I heard about the tornadoes.
