Bridal Portraits

Hey Ladies!

I decided to get my bridal pictures done this Spring before it gets swelteringly hot, so I will be taking them in Waco in 11 days!! I've been thinking about prep for them for awhile, but I feel like I'm forgetting something.

I've arranged for:
manicure & pedicure
Hair & airbrush makeup
waiting on my dress from Becky
my shoes
my veil
I don't need special underthings
A bouquet

Can y'all think of anything else?

& Baylor girls: I haven't been there in years, do y'all remember any good picture taking spots? All I can think of is in front of Pat Neff, the big chess pieces at the Science building, and Cameron park.

Thanks!!
Angela

If you are walking in grass you may want flip flops so your heels dont sink in... also a white sheet is always a plus if you plan to do any sitting and want to protect your dress... and dont forget water! It gets hot and tiring walking around :)

As far as Baylor, If I remember correctly (Its been like 9 years!) There are some cool little arches on walkways on the education building... I think :)

You'll want a big white sheet to put underneath your dress, especially if you're going to be on grass and such to keep it as clean as possible. You'll also want to take different shoes so that your wedding shoes won't get dirty (they won't be seen in the pics anyway)

As for pictures... there's a big bear in front of the SLC now, if you want a picture there, suspension bridge makes for a beautiful picture, Armstrong-Browning library (Where the Heart had a scene in there, plus it's gorgeous inside if you can get in there), maybe the steps of Waco Hall, on one of the swinging benches??

Supposedly you have to make an appointment at Armstrong Browning, so you might call.

I agree with the arches in Draper.  That would be nice.  And Founders Mall is gorgeous this time of year.

There's also been a huge downtown revival going on the last few years, so tons of the buildings down there have been touched up and beautified.  Austin Avenue is really nice now.

I don't know if it's a look you're going for, but you could probably also do Miller Chapel (in Tidwell) or the chapel in Truett (which I've never actually seen).  There's also a chapel on the first floor of the Panhellenic building that I always thought was gorgeous.

The steps in front of Waco Hall would probably be pretty.  And you might check out Brooks College -- it's brand new and really nice.

    Oh, and Harrington House.

I second the suspension brige.  Also heritage square is very pretty.  The Carleen Bright Arboretum is kinda close by too if you want some pic there (that's where our engagement pics were taken if you want to see what it looks like).

And I have to give a shout-out to the Dr Pepper Museum.  We only got to shoot in the soda shop because the rest of the museum was closed, but the little courtyard outside the museum has all kinds of neat old-timey stuff.  And the chairs in the soda shop have heart-shaped backs.  <3

In fact, I wasn't planning on doing bridals, but the more I look at y'all's, the more I want them... I may be going back to Waco for those.  =)

PS, Is Chelsea doing them or are you using someone local?
