I'm working too!  This way I can get a floating holiday to use as vacation during the week of the wedding.

I am working as well.  But I guess I don't really mind.  I would rather work now and get time off closer to the wedding!

If I still had a Job, I'd be getting paid to sleep in this morning :(
I worked on our new years holiday, because I agreed to take a floating holiday to use at a later date.  a couple of weeks later, I got laid off.  So I worked on new years for NOTHING grrrrrr.
Also, I've been thinking, the one thing that all of us who were laid off have in common... overweight.... grrrrr.  Infact, the only fat person left is my old boss.  grrrr.

Bill has to work and it's his birthday so I'm a little grumbly over that.  I was supposed to get together with a friend but she got the flu so now I have no idea how to spend my day.  Brianna said I should shop.  I probably will.

I'm back at work after a long weekend.  I took Friday off to travel down by Beaumont for my friend's wedding...  The wedding was beautiful, but I felt like I was running around the entire time and didn't get to enjoy it much.  Looking back on my wedding, I hope my sister and another friend, who were very helpful throughout the night, don't feel the same way!!

My MOH had her baby last Friday!  He is so cute and I got to see them this weekend.  Bad thing about that is that it made my already bad baby fever even worse!

We haven't booked ours either... FI is DEAD SET on going to Sandals but I just think there are much better (read: more budget friendly) options.

Also, on Saturday I went to send out my Save the Date's and because they are perfectly square I need to get 20 more cents of postage per envelope!

    Brianna,
    Where in the Bahamas?
I went to an all inclusive in Nassau called Breezes a few years back, and although the accomodations were alright, I hated the food ( very basic  to sub-par). All that can be overlooked given that you are in such a beautiful place ( ocean, white sands , etc. ), but if I had it to do over again, I would have picked a better resort and most likely would've gone to Paradise Island instead.
I don't know if they still do this or not, but the Atlantis hotel has a sister hotel very close by ,which is cheaper but if you stay there , they allow to use all the Atlantis facilities.

Oooh, Ben and I have been looking at a Sandals in the Bahamas--well, at least I have.  :)  I would never say no to that, it looks great!  I am very picky about AIs so that is probably the only one I would consider going to.  I say splurge--it's your HM!

I don't think I have a  B&M.  Ben and I are both at home today--he wants to go work out and I really don't.

Working today as well, and apparently the universe made it so that all of our banking related work issues arise TODAY while the bank is closed. So convenient.

Brianna--so funny that he has his heart set on a specific Sandals locale. Mine does too, and he doesn't want to go anywhere except St. Lucia to the more expensive of the Sandals resorts. I threw in the towel. I guess it could be worse, he could want to go to Mt. Rushmore or something.

Ok i feel better now, glad I'm not the only one.  I agree, I think there are much better places that are AI and adults only.  Nothing against Sandals at all tho.  Good luck! I'm pretty much a stickler about this, but have gotten no where with my FI.  Hopefully soon, you and I will have an AW of "YAY we finally booked out HM!"  LOL

That's a clincher too - adults only.  He's been to Sandals Bahamas before so that's what he really wants but that is a budget killer!

My B&M is that I feel like I might be getting sick... all sneezy and stuff. I am going on my honeymoon in 2 days so I can't get sick! Funny you are all talking about the Bahamas, that's where we are going! Except definitely not as nice as Sandals, so I'll let you know how the resort turns out.

Can you put them in a bigger envelope?  I know Hallmark's square cards come with regular sized envelopes so that you don't have to pay extra postage.

Oh well, I'm sure your guests won't mind the look of the extra postage--they'll just be so excited to get them!   Also, it might not have ended up saving much by the time you purchase all the extra envelopes.

My wedding invitations were square.  I knew about the extra postage, and told my mom (who was mailing them).  She asked 2 different people at the post office, a total of 4-5 times, and they all said regular postage was fine.  So, she stamped and mailed them... and got a basket full of invitations the following day when she went to check the mail.  They were out of the Ram stamps, so she had to put two Clock stamps on them to get sufficient postage... and she never told me, until I saw one that had been returned due to a wrong address!  She was planning on keeping it a secret since I'd told her about the extra postage and she didn't believe me :)

This may be a silly question, but why do square invitations require more postage? :-)
