Wedding Day Hair

I am having such a hard time deciding how to wear my hair for the wedding day.  I know I still have some time to decide, but I am wanting to try out some different styles with my hairstylist.  I have both a veil and a hairpiece that I am going to wear (there are pictures in my profile of both of these). 

So how are (or did) you guys wear your hair?  Up? Down?  Half up?  I have looked through some of the pictures on the Knot and other sites but I still haven't found anything that just jumps out at me.  Any help would be appreciated!

This is how I am thinking of wearing my hair. My dress has a halter neckline and leaving it down made my neck look short. I like this because it is loose and leaves a little hair around my face. I hope this helps! Good luck!

I'm doing half up. There's a great picture on page 254  (I think?) in the June Martha Stewart Weddings magazine.  It's in an article on how to do your own wedding hair (which I'm not willing to try!).  I'm doing half up for a couple reasons -- 1) I never wear my hair all up, so I feel like that wouldn't look like "me" 2) I felt like all down was more casual than I wanted 3) I have a scar down my back that I tend to touch when it's not covered, and my hair will cover most of it if it's half up (or down).

FI didn't like the idea of my hair half up until I showed him that picture. I agree though - nothing on TK jumped out at me either

For inspiration, you should look up red carpet pictures. Wedding hair galleries have a lot of crazy over-curled and outdated styles. They (celebrities on the red carpet) also have great makeup inspiration.

I really like the way the latest bride on Lynn's blog wore her hair. If I do keep mine long and wear it up, it will be similar to that.

I like this because it looks like you can unpin the bottom half to wear it half up/half down for the reception.  I don't know if I have enough hair, though.  I haven't completely decided yet.
