Health Fair

Ladies, we are having a health fair here at work in March. My fiend was unvolintarily appointed to head it up. She is clueless LOL. Any advise? I am asking my gym if they'd like to have a rep come, since they are less than a mile from the office.. I've also asked my step mom for advice since she works in a doctors office.. but does anyone else have any advice I can pass along to her? Or maybe any contacts in West Plano that may be willing to come?

I think most of the specialty grocery stores (Whole Foods, Central Market, maybe even Sprouts) have dieticians or people who specialize in healthy eating.  It might be worth seeing if they could come out to the fair and give out recipe cards, advice, and maybe even samples.

I found this contact link on the Whole Foods website that might be worth checking out.

I did a very quick google search for "health fair contacts" and found this:

Contact massage therapists - maybe even call a local massage school???

Also, maybe pharmaceutical reps, GNC, Advocare, etc.

I went to a couple of health fairs when I was in college.  Is it just for physical health purposes?  I ask, because I always went as a volunteer for a college club I was in that dealt with financial planning.  We were the 'financial check-up' part of the health fair.  If you do want a 'financial' part - let me know.  I'm part of the FPA (Financial Planning Association) Pro Bono Committee and I can get a volunteer for you.

Also, I remember (from college) - there being a massage chair, someone to check blood pressure and opportunities to sign up for excercise classes.  So, the gym is a good idea.  Good luck!
