Can I have a MOH even if we don't have a BM... At all?

Hi, my fiancé doesn't want to have a BM but I really want my best friend to be my MOH. Can I have her walk without a BM? Wouldn't it be weird if I have someone next to me but he doesn't while we're at the altar? (we will only have a flower girl and a ring bearer)

I was thinking of just having her walk and then sit in the front row since my fiancé and I will be kneeling down in front of the priest during the ceremony (we're having a very traditional catholic wedding).

Please help!!!

It's perfectly acceptable to have a MOH without your FI having a BM.  As for her standing up with you or sitting that's up to you.  I don't think it would look odd if she were the only one standing up at the alter with you and your FI. If you're planning on having a traditional Catholic ceremony (with a mass) then I would consider having your MOH sit just because it's a long ceremony.  As for walking, it's fine for her to walk on her own.  There's no rule that she has to be accompanied by a guy.

You can have a MOH, without a BM. For all of the Catholic weddings that I have attended, the BM walked in with the groom and the priest from the sacristy, the MOH walked in the processional, alone, in front of the bride and her escort.
She could stand with you at the altar or sit, whichever you prefer.

Absolutely. Our BM is going to be entering with the groom and starting off the ceremony standing with him, so my MOH is going to be entering alone anyway.  I think yours would look find standing up there, but let's be honest... sitting is more comfortable anyway so I think either option is good!

    Ladies, thank you very much!!

I'm happy to know that I can have her be part of the wedding and I've decided to just have her walk in right after the flower girl, by herself.  :)

    Thanks again.

It's your wedding.  You get to do whatever feels right.  (assuming it's not a problem wioth your fiance) Have your BFF stand with you... She can walk down the isle alone and stand at your side or whatever feels right. Remember...it's your wedding!  :-)
