So I get along with MIL. I have always been nervous around her and try to be extra nice to her. Dont know why... but I do. Anyways, before the engagement I only saw her about 5x per year. Well... after the engasgement I lost my job and she got me a job working at her job so we got to see each other more. The job was temp so it recently ended. Anyway... long story short we were chatting on facebook and she and she excused herself to go back to farming i said...

"ok...gnight"

and she said...

"night. luv you"

awww!!!!!! I was sooooo happy! She has never said anything like that, I dont even think to her first and only DIL of about 8 years. I a sooooo honored. I blushed. and said in return...

"awww... luv you too".

I think i might have been to cheesy. but oh well. I just said exactly what i said to myself aloud.

    That's great to hear that you've made a bond with her, even though "I love you" might be cheesy I still think its a great way to show that a person cares. Specially when it comes to someone who will be joining the family.

    awww :) I remember when FMIL would start saying things like that, but she'd be talking to FI and say "love you guys"..which eventually turned into her saying it directly to me after we talk :)

    aww, congrats!!

    I will never forget the first time my FMIL told me "i love you" she is such a sweet lady and I look up to her as another mother. I truely am lucky to be marrying into the fmaily.

    thats awesome theta! aren't we lucky to have FMIL that aren't crazy? Mine can be annoying, but the love is still there :)
