my mother wants nothing to do with the wedding

Needless to say I'm heartbroken.  We just told my parents about the plans a couple weeks ago.  They were anything but happy for us, and disowned me for my choice to marry for love, and not for money.  We left their home with me in tears.  I have NEVER felt so much pain as I did those 2 days.     My fiance's father has offered to walk me down the aisle.  I'm very appreciative of this, but I'm not sure this is allowed.  Is it ?

That is so sad that your parents don't realize what they are doing. You are doing the right thing to marry for Love not money! Money does not last and can not make you happy. I pray that your parents will come around before your wedding gets here.
