Mom's wedding

My mom announced that she is getting remarried for the fourth time this January.  Since then whenever I call her to talk to her about my wedding she brings up her wedding.

Why don't you try to talk about something non-wedding related with her?  Perhaps she brings up her wedding since the conversation is already wedding-centric.  She might just be making comparisons between your wedding and hers and see that as a good time to bring up food, entertainment or whatever else.  Just like you are excited about your wedding, she probably is as well.  Honestly, I get tired of talking about my own wedding, so it might be a nice change to talk about something else rather than both of your weddings.

I'm sure she's just caught up in the excitement for her wedding, so I honestly wouldn't take it too personally.

But.....I do agree with PP that maybe you shouldn't bring up wedding stuff to her at least for right now.

She's probably just caught up in the excitement.  Her wedding is right around the corner.  Hopefully after her wedding she'll be more receptive to talking about yours.

She's probably excited about the two of you being able to plan your weddings together.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

She has had her moment 3 previous times before. Her show is over. It is your moment and she is acting like a total Bridezilla.

Joiner, once again, you're a moron.

No one is ever as excited about your wedding as you are.  This includes your mother, especially if she has her own to plan.  Give her a break, try to find something else beside weddings to talk about, and I'm sure she'll be more focused on your wedding after hers.
