Stressin'

Just think I am stressing to much over this special day. Can't decide on bridesmaid dresses? I decided to go the cheap route and save my girls some cash. The wedding is far away, so travel costs are high. :( Now all the dresses I had selected are sold. I am looking for a simple maxi dress with a print. Doesn't sound to hard right> I  have different size girls. Some extra small to xtra large. I want everyone to feel beautiful and relaxed. Nothing uptight or constricting. I have TEN bridesmaids though> And I want everyone to have a different dress!!! I am offically crazy bride. I don't know what to do. Any advice?

Can you give a few more parameters? Because from what you've given right now (maxi-dress) there's no way to tell what the problem is. Budget? Colors? What type of print (floral, striped, etc).

Also, just FYI a lot of people don't look good in maxi dresses, so I would have some of the girls try some on and see how they feel before you nail that one in.

Ten bridesmaids... all in maxi dresses... that are different prints... that flatters everyone... and are affordable.

Yep, you've crossed into crazy. Finding ten different prints in the same dress is going to be pretty challenging. Maybe putting 2 girls in each print could be easier, but like PP said, have them try on because I personally look terrible in maxi dresses, and so do many others.

I honestly don't think I've seen anyone look good in maxi dresses.  If you're really looking to save them money, just tell them to wear any little black dress they choose.  You can bring different prints into it by giving them each a shawl or pashmina (not as part of their gift) to wear for the ceremony and pictures.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

I have no clue what a "maxi" dress is, but if you want to save them some $$ on the dress, what about these dresses from Target? (CLICKY)

It is an idea, some are short, some are halter, etc. It is turned into a catastrophe! I am thinking 2 of each dress though. I like that idea, a lot better, than me trying to discover the dresses! I appreciate all the advice. :) Thanks

Why don't you just give them a color and let them pick any dress in any shade of that color?  Then you'll have different dresses and it will allow your bms to pick dresses that work for their budgets (maybe even dresses they already own!)
