Bridesmaid dresses

I am having my B=bridemaids pcik out their own dresses.  I told them any black, knee length dress will work.  Should they all have the same or similar material so they look good in photos or does it not really make a difference?

I didn't specify a fabric.  You can check out the pictures in my bio, I don't think it made a difference.

Honestly, I don't think fabric makes much of a difference.

I think for the most part it won't make a big difference but sometime different fabrics can determine formality...I think ti is important to make sure one is not in a cute cotton sundress and another has a very formal satin...so they look like they are from different wedding parties...if that makes sense.

But your BMs will know the formality of the event and should be able to choose appropriate fabrics.
