locations for a shower

Hello!
I am an out of town bridesmaid and I am looking for some ideas for where to have a bridal shower.  The bride (and the wedding) is in San Francisco and she is in her 30's.  I want something pretty nice but without spending more than $1000.  Does anyone have any ideas of places I should look at?  I am trying to find something a little more unusual than a tea house or restaurant but I am open to any suggestions!

    You should pos this on the local SF board.  The ladies there may have some ideas for you.

    Welcome.

    I suggest you post this on the local boards because possibly like many others, I'm not familiar with California places (would love to make a trip out there sometime). So you might get much more responses of locations there (I believe it would be the CA-Bay Area board).

    Sausalito.
    It's a quick drive from SF and very pretty.
