"Bridesmaid Dresses 101"

I live in northern NJ and have NO IDEA where is the best place to take my bridesmaids to find their dresses.  Any thoughts?

[QUOTE]Your wedding isn't until June of 2012. Don't even start looking until December or January. New styles will have come out by then, and it's really inconsiderate to make them shell out now for a dress that will just hang in their closet for over a year. Don't shop for attire until around the six-month mark, then ask your maids what they're prepared to spend.   Then leaf through some bridal magazines and check out wedding websites for some styles in that price range.

</div><div>I'm in a friend's wedding and she made us get the dresses a year in advance (she's a med student and wanted it all taken care of before she goes into clinics). I try it on like once a month and worry about if it will still fit right in a year. It's a huge pain. And it did suck to have to pay $150 for something and have it sit in my closet for a year. </div><div>
</div><div>ETA: The style will be discontinued by the time the wedding rolls around, and if I gain any weight (or lift weights and change shape) and can't re-order I really don't know what I'll do. </div>

Definitely try your local board or lots of people use David's Bridal.
