Maternity bridesmaid dresses

Hi everyone, my sister just discovered that she is pregnant.  She'll be about seven months along by the time of my wedding.  Does anyone know of any maternity bridesmaid dresses that they found flattering?  She let me pick out my bridesmaid dress at her wedding (she chose the color and length), and I really want her to get a great dress.

Why not just reciprocate and let her pick her own dress?

I've told her to look, but she's having trouble finding stores with maternity dresses in stock to try on.

Dessy.com has maternity specific BM dresses, especially in the Alfred Sung collection.  David's Bridal has many that are featured as "maternity appropriate", and Bari Jay also has little icons on certain styles that indicate the dress is maternity friendly.

I would also suggest your sister check local maternity stores....even expectant mothers attend cocktail party events....so I am sure that most maternity stores carry a line of evening appropriate dresses.

I wouldn't look for maternity bridesmaid dresses, I'd just look at maternity dresses.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

One of my BMs is pregnant, and David's had her try the dress on with a baby bump and just ordered a dress 5 sizes too big and are going to alter it down.  I don't think this will work with all dresses, though.  I'm sure a lot of places have a baby bump she can try on when she's looking at dresses, so that might make it easier.  It doesn't have to be a maternity specific dress.

I went to a formal affair when I was 32 weeks pregnant - I found a gorgeous dress at a goodwill store that was about 4 sizes bigger than my pre-pregnancy size that was empire waist and it fit beautifully.

If it just her as an attendant or if you don't mind she not perfectly match others she could easily go to almost any department store as the date gets closer and buy any dress that fits off the rack (which could be a piece of cake or a pain in the neck depending on the color) or as a PP said David's has the bump to try on dresses with.

If you want to go in person to try on maternity dresses, you should try your local board.  My FSIL will be over 8 mons at my wedding, we got a Landa maternity dress, and the other girls got a similar style by Landa in the same material and color.  Here are a few designers that offer maternity:

    Alfred Angelino
    Bari Jay
    Landa
    Bill Levkoff
    Alfred Sung
    Eden
    Forever Yours

Check your local stores to see if any of them carry any of these designers.  We decided not to go with David's Bridal because my pregnant BM did not want to order up and take it in at various places (she's tiny and her belly is going to be huge, so she didn't think it would look as good as an actual maternity dress).  I also offered to let her buy off the rack in a similar color closer to the wedding, but she wanted to order with the rest of the girls, and look as close to them as possible.
