B&M Monday

I have a REALLY bad attitude this morning and I'm not 100% sure why.

I kicked my own (_I_) at the gym today and had an awsome workout.. had to wait 10 minutes for a shower, then realized I forgot my belt. (Please no more pants on the ground jokes) Just as I got out of the shower and started blow drying my hair (which totally did not want to cooperate today) two girls come in from doing their 20 minutes of walking on the treadmills and get in the showers. They are talking the ENITE time.. over the water running and over my blowdryer, I can hear every word they are saying. I really don't care about the girl in your class that doesn't like you or what they are making you do at work. The water stops and I think "YAY.. finally silence.."... no.. they continue talking over their own blowdryers. I seriously wanted to ask them to please shut up for 5 minutes so I could finish getting ready and get out of there.

rant over
(for now)

Rene, I'm glad you got to work out this morning! I was lazy and just didn't get out of bed...but I'm going tonight!

I don't really have too much to B&M about today, but I will say that I can tell it's going to be "one of those days" already.

I actually feel really well rested today. I should, since I went to bed at 7:30 last night.

I will be back in Dallas in four weeks. I'll be working at the UNT music library again. It's only part time, but at least I know I'll have some work once I get back, until I find something full time.

It was really rainy all last week, and this week it's going to get really cold again. Yuck.

My only B&M is that yesterday when I was trying to upload some wedding pics to FB, the easy uploader wasn't working so I could only do 5 at a time...and that took what seemed like ages to do. But they're finally there! Now I am going to work on the wedding bio and will have that up for ya'll shortly :)

Thank you so much for thinking of me! I don't know if I'm *quite* ready to give up on being in a music library (I have a feeling a lot of jobs will open up in the summer like they did last year), but I will definitely keep that job in mind if my patience starts to wear thin!

I guess my Monday isn't too bad. For the first time in a long time we didn't go to David's parents for dinner last night. There have probably only been 5 times in the past 2 years that we haven't gone. It was a great day. :)

We're slowly distancing ourselves from his family due to their inability (or lack of effort/caring) to fix some problems that we are having with them. But to be perfectly honest, I think we would be better off if we completely severed ties with them.

I am taking steriods and a second anti-biotic to try to get rid of this. On Friday and Saturday, I was sneezing so much that I would start a sneeze in the middle of another sneeze. It was awful. And uncomfortable to say the least.

This isn't really a B&M, but I read one of the posts on here and I think I'm still annoyed by that person saying that she's getting married twice. Are you getting a divorce first? Call it what it is: renewing your vows.

I agree, Julie. However, the part that bothered me the most wasn't that she was getting "married" twice, but that they got married so that she could be a part of the choir.

I ruined 3 of Jeff's Lacoste (read: over $200) sweaters by drying them. I'm an idiot. I know better to put anything Lacoste brand in the dryer, especially sweaters, but apparently I have completely fell off the deep end. He was SO SO SO SO mad at me this morning when he found them sitting (unfolded - I suck) on top of the dryer. He was the kind of mad that he could not even form words. He just stared at me. It definitely made our amazing, anniversary weekend come to a screeching hault.

Guess who is going shopping today??? Ugh.

My only B&M for today - I can't find a dress!! I don't know if I'm too picky or I think I should have this 'awesome' feeling when I try it on - am I expecting too much. I have been to every bridal shop in Dallas, Plano, Frisco - and even drove to Red Oak. No luck. Maybe it's because I'm not 100% sure I know what I want. I have no idea - I'm not one of those girls who has been dreaming of their wedding since they were 5 - or whatever. I just need a dress. A dress that I like and feel pretty in. Is that too much to ask!! Thank you for the venting - that's all.

Emi, I washed my husbands brand spanking new pants and put them in the dryer....because the instructions said it was ok. However hubby didn't want me to put them in the dryer. Would have been nice if he had told me. I can't mind read you know. And I shrunk two pairs, not just one....nice.

Is it possible to gain 5.5 lbs in 2 days? Really? I worked out and ate pretty good too. I hate this.

    Emi,
I am so sorry!!!!! That really bites for the both of you. I'm sorry you had such a rotten end to your anniversary weekend.

    Steph,
Yeah, I thought that was a little over the top myself. However, she originally told us all that it was because her dad wouldn't give her any money for her second wedding unless they were married before living together.

Emi--that sucks. I shrunka wool sweater of Jay's not too long ago through my own ineptitude. (and it sucks, because I bought it for him, and he was actually going to wear something I picked out). It will now fit an 8 year old boy easily. I think I'm goig to donate it.

    My B&M:

I posted a yay or nay pic of my envelope liners on Facebook for fun, and got the following comment from one of my professors.

a bit excessive in my opinion. could be donated to RedCross??

Really?? It's a grand total of $5.75!!!!! Not that donating isn't important (and I already have!), but come on. It's not like it's another $50 or $100!

He and his (less opinionated) wife are invited to the wedding. I'll make sure theirs doesn't have an envelope liner...muahahhaha

He really is a nice guy. Just SO DANG OPINIONATED!!!!

Marissa, did he know how much it costs when he made the comment?

I know a lot of people thought it cost me a lot and thought I had them printed some where like that.

Apparently if you don't know if a light is red or not means that you are not responsible for an accident. I can't believe that his insurance decided that he wasn't responsible for the accident, its unbelievable!

tnickel- seriously?? That really blows. You have been waiting for weeks and now you find out this? Sorry to hear that.

    steph- totally understand that.

About the marriage/choir thing: to each their own I suppose. I considered it before the wedding as well.

They said something along the lines that people don't arbitrally(sp?) run red lights and our insured doesn't know if it was red or not. It didn't help that the witness changed her number the same week it happened and we couldn't get in contact with her until I searched her on facebook. What made me even madder is when I told the adjuster that, he insinuated that we were friends and that she wasn't really a witness. Umm hello, her name is not normal like smith, there were only 3 people with her last name on there.

It sucks because now we have to go through my insurance and pay a deductible and I will have that accident on my record.

This isn't a B&M, I just thought it was weird. Joe just tried to finalize his vacation for the honeymoon; (we'll be gone the week after the wedding and that following Monday), his boss just told him that he cannot give him that Monday off because he cannot take 2 weeks. Umm..he's not trying to take 2 weeks. If he wants to have the day off it'll be marked as an excused absence with no pay.

How incredibly stupid. Yes people arbitrarily run red lights. That's why this entire website exists:

    http://www.stopredlightrunning.com/

In Arizona, they have signs all over the place saying "Use your head. Stop on red" because people there do it so often!

    What complete idiots.

Yes thats what I said. Now I'm just hoping that my insurance takes care of it and if it works out then they will be paying more than they would have had they done the right thing first.
