Wax Seals

Does anyone know the proper place for a wax seal on the wedding invitation?   Does it go on the outer envelope or the inner envelope?  I was thinking outer, but then I thought about the going through all the things at the post office, and thought the inner would be better. What's your opinion??

You could always mail one to yourself to see how it comes out.  I purchased my wax seal supplies from another Knottie, Chelsea.  Maybe she will see this and let you know what she did.  I never ended up using mine.

I would suggest the inner one. That way it won't get damaged in transit.

I suggest the inner one but that's just IMO.

Also, hobby lobby, michaels and other places like that have kits, and even if you already have the stuff, they usually have tips on the back of the packages

We were looking at doing a wax seal and would have put it on the inner envelope. We opted out because it added extra weight and time. We took out the inner envelope all together and ordered a heavier envelope.

Thanks Ladies!  I think I may just end up putting it on the inner envelope.
