Mother Son Dance

I have having a problem with helping my FI come up with a dance for he and his mom to dance to. She was not there for him for most of his life and his father raised him.  The problem we are having is it seems like most of the songs used for the dance is talking about how the mom helped the son to become a great man... and she didn't.

So the question I have is this, does anyone know of any songs that will work here? I am trying to help him to not get frustrated, but it seems rather hard... thanks!

I would agree with PP and just find a song without words, or scratch the dance altogether.

Go with something that's instrumental.  Either classical or try to find instrumental versions of a song that he likes.


ETA:  Or you guys could skip the dance.  We did and no one cared.  If they did care, they were probably glad.  No one likes to sit and watch others dance for long.

I never even knew that there was a mother/son dance, every wedding that I have been to never had one.

You don't ahve to do this. My FI is doing a mom/son dance but I don't think I am doing a daddy/daughter dance.
