Can't find bridesmaid dresses!

I'm planning a fall wedding in gold, dark red, and ivory. i want antique gold dresses for my 3 maids but having no luck finding any except in pale gold. don't wanna spend the cash for custom, please help!

Have you tried all of the obvious places like David's Bridal and Alfred Angelo? you might think about macys, jcrew, or other retailers like that, they may have a better selection, GL

just go walking around in a mall one day that has lots of stores with dresses. keep in mind what you're envisioning, but do consider being flexible and the colour of dresses as well, as that can really limit your seleciton.

Try visiting a few bridal shops to see what they have  - and check the color selections that are available.

And don't be afraid to modify things.  Maybe a red dress with gold accents will work instead of a gold dress.

I suggest going into bridal shops and asking for their darker gold color swatches. You can see what dresses would be available in that color. Also look into Macy's and Dillards. They have "bridal shops" that include MOB, MOG, BM, and wedding dresses.

I would consider doing red dresses with lots of gold jewelry if you can't find gold.

Try Alfred Angelo's Harvest Gold...that's what I'm using and its not at all the pale yellowy gold...its definite a darker, richer gold. I love it!

I stressed about bridesmaid dresses forever before going to a seamstress.... what a relief!  I picked the fabric and pattern and she's just taking care of it.  It will be about $80 a dress including materials (as my mom insisted on paying for the dresses) so it also turned out to be the most reasonable option.
