Super Short Bridesmaid

Does anyone know where we can find shorter bridesmaids dresses other then daivds bridal. My one Bridesmiad/MOH is 5' tall and all the dresses at davids bridal are just not porpotioned right for shorter women. We would like some place that we can try them on so i would really like there to be a store in colorado. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Um, I'm 5 feet tall and never once have thought as myself as "super-short," though of course I know I'm short. I've also never in my life had to shop at any kind of special store to find clothing that's proportioned right. Of course I have to hem just about anything, but that's no big deal. I'm not a fan of Davids in general, but I bought a dress there a couple of years ago to be a BM. I had no problem finding a selection of dresses that worked on me. Has she actually tried dresses on there?

Could you just get a dress and have it hemmed? I'm 5"4 but even I need to get things hemmed all the time, it isn't expensive and it's pretty easy to do.

My sister is 5' tall and she's my MOH. We got her dress at DB and she is having a friend or family member hem it. Plus she is saving the fabric left over for wedding decorations.

I'm 4' 11"...my advice is to just get it hemmed. Pretty much any store you go to you are going to come across the same problems.

What about going to a regular store (ann taylor, banana republic, etc) and looking in their petites section?

One of my bridesmaids was under 5 feet tall and because of that she has to get things altered pretty often.  So, she already has a tailor she trusts who did the alterations on the dress that we chose from a bridesmaid line.

Ok, when I saw "super short" I was thinking super short. Not 5'.

I am just barely under 5' and have no problems finding a dress, then getting it altered. Also, ask David's Bridal if they have petites available. I find that petite dresses can fit better depending on the cut.

I'd say get it hemmed or ask on your local board. They will know stores in your area a lot more than we will.

I'm 5'1 and do not consider myself SUPER short.  It's called alterations and high heels.  You know kind of like the same thing you're probably doing with your wedding gown? All us SUPER short women can find clothes and the best part is:  We never look shorter than the guy we're paired up with.  Even wearing 5 inch super sexy heels.

Five feet tall is NOT "super short."  I'm 5'1, not anywhere in the neighborhood of "super short."  I am sure that your BM is aware that most bottoms she wears may need to be hemmed.  So why can't she try on a dress wherever and then she can get it altered?
