Cute idea for Bridesmaids gift?

Okay, I don't want to get them something monogrammed or jewelry they won't wear again, so here is my idea. I am getting married on the beach, so to follow in suite, I thought it would be cute to buy these little glass bottles

and write a personal note like "thanks for being a part of our special day" and then maybe getting a charm of the first letter of their name and also putting it on the necklace. Then they could wear it in the wedding or not. Thoughts??

Meh....not crazy about it.  The necklace would not be a gift for them if they're expected to wear it on wedding day.  It's party of the uniform.  Also, unless they wear jewelry in that style (I don't) it's not much of a "gift".

As a member of a WP, I'd much rather get something that shows you've thought about me, not your WP.  A $30 gc for a kindle download would mean more to me than a more expensive necklace that I wouldn't wear again, know what I mean?

Anyway:  shop for your friends, not your WP.  And good luck to you.

    Meh, not my taste either.

Ditto to trix on the rest.

But if you still wanted to do a necklace-pendant that goes with a beach theme, I know at our beach venues there is always these that are personalized:

I personally think its a cute idea! And as far as jewelry not being a gift.... well if I'm expected to wear a certain thing I'd much rather it be given to me than have to buy it myself....... but this is just my opinion....
