Experiences with these registeries

Right now I have Crate & Barrell, Target, and BBB. The Southlake C&B closed (boo!) so I was thinking of deleting that one. No point to keep it, tons of family and friends in the area that would go to that one since it is super close, plus they don't have one in Lubbock. I'm def. doing BBB (Great experiences!!) I'm going back and forth between Kohls and Lowe's. Kohls seem like a good place-get 15% off things on the list, plus whatever you don't get we get 15% off too. Lots of people I know shop there anyways. I was thinking Lowes for some outdoorsy things, garden tools, and such (but still not certain). Anyone have any experience with either of these stores? Then there is always Macy's too....

Lowe's isn't doing the national registry anymore.  Some stores with still do it, but people would have to go to that specific Lowe's to get your list.  We registered as Sears b/c they still did a national registry and FI can get his tools.

We are registered at Macy's they have great incentives, and are really easy to work with, but I am still back and forth about whether I am happy I registered there.  Its really easy to work with, I just feel like I probably won't get as much from that registry, and that is where all our dinnerware is.

Kohl's- I was walking through Kohl's the other day thinking "man I should have registered here" they have a lot of great stuff.  BUT I think they are very similar in a lot of ways to BBB so I may not do Kohl's and BBB.

I had a great experience with Macys.   We got probably $100 back as a gift card (you get something like 10% of the purchases people made from your registry back after your wedding).   You also get 15% completion discounts..and I got 20% off registry completion coupons in the mail twice as well.

I liked our registry there way better than BB&B.

tiffany thanks for that post! I know they had great incentives and such, but since I haven't seen the rewards for them it has no effect my opinion of them yet.  I think the main reason I am sorta dissatified with that registry is due to what I put on it, not Macy's themselves.

We did Williams-Sonoma and BB&B.  We had a great experience with both but I loved W-S a little more.  Their completion program goes for six months after your wedding.  That meant that we had six months to get the discount to finish.  With BB&B, you get it once and that's it.
