Do you have to get your readers a gift?  I am getting my BM earrings and a nice glass jewelry box with names engraved as well as their hair and make-up done.

Is it ok to get the readers the same jewelry box, but no jewelry?

    You can if it's the sort of thing that you'd be happy to give them for a birthday or Christmas.  If it's not, get them something that is.  But yes, anyone with a role in your ceremony should receive some gift of thanks.

    Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

    Yes get them something.  For ours, its a married couple and we will be giving them a gift certificate to a nice restaurant.

    Yes, we got one of our readers a gift card to Starbucks. And the other one we gave both the husband (our reader) and his wife a gift card to a nice restaurant. They have been so good to my H and I and they were are friends from our church back home.

    Please don't get jewelry unless you know that they want it and will wear it, especially if you are going to ask them to wear it at the wedding, then it is just a gift for you.  I would suggest getting them something like a gift certificate for a massage, a DVD set of a season of their favorite TV show, a CD by their favorite artist.  It doesn't have to be something "typical" (jewelry, something that makes reference to your wedding) because usually those are things that get shoved in a drawer.
