So I am having 2 MOH's and then 4 other bridesmaids.  I wanted my MOH's to have a matching separate dress from the rest of the bridesmaids, so 2 in one dress and 4 in the other so that they'd stand out.  And I found a bridesmaids dress that I love, and might even buy for myself, but I might not have a dress picked out that matches well for the others, so I was thinking of putting everyone in the same dress.  What other ways besides the dress can I have my MOH's stand out?

    I've seen sashes in different colors for the MOHs, as well as bigger bouquets. Any particular reason you want them to stand out? I know it's traditional but I haven't seen anyone do it in a while, so I'm genuinely curious

    They are my two best friends, so I just want them to feel extra special I guess.  I'm worried they would be upset if I changed my mind and they wore the same dresses and didn't do something special for them.

    I second the sash idea, also you could give the 4 BMs a color and length, then just let them pick out their own dresses. Different colored flowers and/or ribbons in BM bouquets would be a nice idea too.

    Ditto the others on the sashes. Just make sure you've asked your girls their budgets before you pick out dresses (unless you're actually paying for them). You don't want to pick a dress that no one can afford.

    Either a sash or a bigger bouquet.

    But honestly, the honor of being a MOH is enough of a way to make them special.  Personally I think it's over the top when people want the MOH to stand out even more.

    Why couldn't I think of this for the "I don't get it" thread.
