How many salons in one day for BM dresses

Hello!

I have 3 bridesmaids that I need to go shopping with to find dresses - my sister and my two college roommates. We're meeting up in DC (the midpoint - we'll be in Arlington VA to be exact) to do the dress shopping this weekend. I wanted to go ahead and line up appointments (I know, I know, I should have done this weeks ago), but I didn't know how many in one day was too many. We're looking at driving about 30 to one dress shop, and the second I want to try is about 15-20 minutes from there.

Do I try to do more than one or two salons in one day? How much time should I budget for finding 3 dresses - I'm open to doing different styles in the same color, which will probably be needed to suit 3 different body shapes - and I don't know if that will make the appointments longer or shorter. I want to make sure we get this done if at all possible this weekend, but I don't want to torture my best friends by frog marching them from salon to salon from dawn til dusk either.

I think a few (2 or 3) is reasonable in one day. Any more than that, the styles start running together, not to mention the girls getting frustrated and hungry and all that good stuff.

3 should be the absolute max, but I'd probably choose 2 stores that have a wide selection. Honestly, they're all going to start running together, and the selection from store to store is usually not all that different.

Ditto lalap. Pick a couple of stores with a wide selection of dresses. If you are letting your girls pick their own dresses in a certain color then they shouldn't have too hard of a time finding something for themselves if the stores you go to have large selections.

I think two stores would be my max, especially if they had a large selection.

I would suggest offering to feed them between store visits. Hungry BM = grouchy BM.

Thanks everyone! I'm going to try to set up one appointment mid/late morning and one after lunch at Priscilla and DB. Hopefully between the two of those we'll be all set!
