Your wedding... tacky.

Found this article on my month board and I thought it was interesting...  What do you think?

I think it has a hint if truth to it. However, I still think there are etiquette rules and people just want to make sure they are not crossing any lines. A wedding, no matter what your class, is a social event. So you want to be able to present to your friends and family something with a lot thought. People do ask A LOT about if something is tacky; but I honestly think it's because they truly care about the event they are throwing. You also don't want to offend your guests. So people could be asking if it is tacky in the sense "am I going to offend people"

So random!  I say who cares, it's your wedding and your style do what you want.  Some things, I def agree are tacky like the pic in the article, etc.

I've seen some things here that I thought were tacky.  I'm sure that someone thought some/all of my wedding was tacky.  It is in the eye of the beholder but I've seen some things and said to myself, "Does she not have someone in her entourage with some common sense?" or "Does some not care enough about her to say something about that?"  Just my two cents though.  I kind of equate this to that conversation at the beginning of "Bride Wars".

I think the article makes a good point that no matter what you do for your wedding, there will be someone who is displeased with something about it. Tacky is just the fallback word to say it.

My wedding is super tacky! It will have bunting and feathers and tulle balls and heck I already used return address labels on my STDs... LOL ;) I love my tacky wedding and I know everyone will have a blast!
Disclaimer: Please excuse the above comment. I'm probably freaking out because there is less than one month to go. Thank you.
