I have not done any holiday shopping yet...

...and we fly out to Portland on Saturday AM.  Oy.

It's for FI's family, but I do help with it all since my family is not doing any gifts.  We need to get his parents a gift, his sister and her husband a $10 gift each, then their two kids regular gifts.  The BIL lost his job so we tried to get them to do NO gifts at all.

FI and I are so not in the mood to do this we are putting this off to the max.  We cannot even brainstorm.  I hate getting gifts for the sake of gifts and nothing I can think of sounds meaningful.

What are good "his" and "her" gifts that total $10 each?  Can be smaller items.

Him: Itunes giftcard?  some kind of food/beer? sports something or another? a book?

Do you know of anything specific they needed to cut back on?  Maybe giftcard to his favorite store or restaurant...umm

Itunes are a big hit as ally already mentioned. Don't feel so bad, I have to finish my xmas shopping on Friday when i get paid again. Seems like my money vanishes because of prices and xmas!!

For him FI uses chapstick.  A nice 6 pack of beer/cigar. Itunes card if he is into music.  Chocolate.

Magazine subscriptions are always my fav. go-to gift. Usually around this time of year - you can get year-long 'scripts for 10 bucks or so. It's the gift that just keeps showing up.

I'm giving one of FI's sisters earrings, the other I have yet to find a gift for (I wanted to go with earrings as well,  but they had nothing in her style in the shop I went to). For his mom I got a sort of glass thingy, for his father I'll either get a book on nature or a bottle of wine.

Now FI... ugh!
