Hair/Veil Opinions needed

Hi Ladies,

I'm at a loss as to what kind of hair accessories to buy to go with my dress.  My dress is silver mist so I'm not sure what color veil to get.  Also, since our wedding is outside I don't want a big veil that will blow in the wind.  I'm planning on having my hair either in a loose side ponytail, all down or half-way.  Whichever I decide it'll be wavy/curly and very romantic feel.

I've looked at birdcage but I've only seen the thick veil and I'm not sure that material would go with the dress.

the veil in the pic is way too big with too many layers for the dress I think.  The sales lady just put it on.

Pretty much I'm not sure of anything!

Thoughts/ Opinions/ any do-nots??? TIA

I like the idea of the side ponytail.

With that dress I think a simple clip with a few small feathers or something would be really pretty with the dress.  Your dress is so intricate to begin with-I think if you add a veil it might take away from the dress...does that make sense?  Or if you do a birdcage, get thin netting from JoAnn's, Michael's, or Hobby Lobby and make the veil yourself.  I'm sure there are tons of different colors to choose from that would go really well with your dress.  You could also have Becky make the veil for you if you bring her the material.

I like the short poofy veils when girls wear their hair down but yeah that might be too much.  I love a birdcage veil with a side ponytail--it's the only time I DO like it actually.

I found an article that said to wear a pink veil with a silver or gold dress.  I don't advise this.  :)

I think you should totally go 1920's glam with a crystal hair clip and feather(s).  Maybe a birdcage veil netting piece attached.  Your gown is very detailed, if you were to go with a veil, I'd probably say cathedral length with no embellishments.

    Thanks for the input.
Definitely no pink veil.  So odd!

I didn't know Becky did custom stuff.  I'll keep a look out for combs I like then get a few types of veil fabric and play around.
