If you have a wholesale license (because they ask) The Connection Florist in Fort Worth.  I think you can still buy it there without one, but it's more.

So if you literally buy flowers from a wholesale place like Sam's, do you just set up all the centerpeice arrangements the night before the wedding?

I want the freedom to choose exactly what I want, but I want them to look good.. so it's like I want a florist, but not really.... I'm not sure what to do.
Disclaimer: Please excuse the above comment. I'm probably freaking out because there is less than one month to go. Thank you.

I've seen Central Market do the arranging before.  I'm not sure about Sam's and Costco.  I think you have you take them home and do them.  I think once I called and the lady did free-lance work outside of the Costco and could put them together for me, but charged me a florist price.  Otherwise, we planned on doing it the day before.

The florists I have spoken to give me the freedom to choose exactly what I would have wanted.  I just thought they were pricey, but you are paying for their expertise and craftsmanship and their ability to put flowers together.

If you are on a tight budget like I was for my wedding in March, we got $250 worth of flowers from a wholesaler (roses, callas and garden roses) and two friends did the decorating for me the afternoon of the wedding--very simple arrangements.  It was obvious that it was DIY and nothing turned out quite the way I had envisioned it, but the flowers looked nice enough and I was fine with it in light of how much I saved.  But if my budget was less tight, I would probably choose to hire a florist, for one less thing to think about if nothing else.
