Naturally curly hair

Hello all, just looking for ideas how to style my hair for the wedding. I have naturally curly hair and wondering how other people with curly hair did theirs. I don't have a veil but do hope to wear a rhinestone head band.

Re: Naturally curly hair

  • I have naturally curly hair and I am just pulling mine half up and using a hair comb. I like my natural curls more than having it straightened and curled.

  • I did a half up/down thing. It's in my sig. My stylist did curl my hair with a curling iron so that my curls would be more even & have more definition than my natural hair.

  • Mine was half up half down.  I wore my mom's veil which was a satin and pearl headband with the veil attached at the ends.

I am thinking of doing this look with my hair. I think its so pretty and not too much.

  • Mine is barely shoulder length. There is an updo I saw on the hairsyle .. section (for lack of a better word?) that I will try at my hair trail. My curls are not super tight, but much tighter than the examples I am seeing. I really would like to be able to just use a pretty comb and forego alot of hairspray if possible.

  • My mom has the super curly hair and she does a lot of the half-up/half-down styles because it keeps the fly aways away from her face. I would recommend that style for a wedding as well. It would look really cute with a headband.

  • I have super SUPER tight curls (more kinky).  An I am having my hair blown out stick straight, flat ironed and then doing an updo.

  • My twin sister did my hair because if anyone knows how to manage my curly hair, it's my twin sister, who has lived with the same hair her whole life. We did a loose updo with just bobby pins and some hairspray. I LOVE it.

  • I have natural curls which are maybe considered "botticelli" or "corkscrew" (tighter side but not too tight).  I like wearing them natural a lot and it is just much easier, but for my wedding day I think I am going to have them blow out my hair and curl it into very big curls/waves (which will stay better as we have natural curl!) with maybe a piece of the crown pinned back.  Go with what looks like "you" and makes you happy!
