First off wanted to say my wedding is 43 days away and I wish I had found this site earlier! You all are very helpful!

We are doing wedding party photos before the wedding because we are going to a nearby park. (fiance and I will be seeing eachother prior to ceremony, but photographers will be there to capture the moment).

Anyway, my question is how much time do we need for wedding party photos?

Also, how long after dinner should we do the cake cutting?

We did ours right after the first dances. But if you are having a DJ, I would talk with them bc oftentimes they have ideas. Ours helped us plan the activities out bc we had no clue either.

How long you need for WP pics depends upon how many you want.

When my husband shoots weddings, an hour to 90 minutes is generally sufficient for wedding party photos. It can depend upon how many locations you want to shoot at, though. For example, at our own wedding, we did photos for about 4 and a half hours at five locations.

We are doing 2 hours. HTe mothers already have an extensive list of family shots they want on top of the BP photos. Plus I want a lot of the 2 of us in different locations on-site.  I think we will have plenty of time and be relaxed about them.

We're alotting almost 90 mins for our's.  We're cutting our cake right before dinner & the caterer is serving it as dessert.
