Is it ok to not have a bridal party? I've had some ups and downs with some of my closest friends and my fiance's best friend continues to be deployed in Afghanistan. We've discussed about not having a bridal party at all and we both like the idea. It just seems that it would simplify our wedding day and allow us to focus on each other. (Think of the alone time we'd get during photo time!) Our wedding will be smaller (100-120) and wouldn't bridesmaids/groomsmen rather be hanging out with their dates and wearing whatever they want? The only downside...my mother is very against it and upset anytime it's brought up. She says we'll regret it later on. Thoughts? Is it too weird to not have a bridal party?
