Tiffany Blue Bridesmaids Dresses

I dont no if this is the Right board for this question so if it isnt just say so.

We was going to use Pink and Brown as our wedding colors but I changed my mind and I want to use Tiffany Blue.

I don't want no Robins Egg or Teal or Pool I want Tiffany Blue.  Who has the closest matching Color?  I lookedat Davids Bridal but the Pool wasnt really the same Color as the Tiffanys box I brought in.

Thanks.

Maybe "Pool", "Blue Pastel" or "Blue Jay" from Alfred Angelo. The best bet is to go to a bridal store and look at various color swatches from different designers.

Just out of curiousity, if someone disagrees with you here will they also be called a racial slur? Or was that just a special occasion?

Ditto Suz. It's probably best to head to a few bridal stores with the box and see if they can find a matching fabric swatch or head to some designer's Web sites and see if you can order a fabric sample. I don't know that you'll find the perfect blue, but I'm sure a store could point you in the right direction.

Yeah, over on E...Salt responded to OP's post that she buys her pregnancy tests at the dolla store (sic) with "oh my god" and was called a snowflake. Which, according to a conversation from a few days before about the use of "special snowflake," many of us had learned for the first time is a derogatory way to refer to a white person. And there was pretty much no context in which OP could have meant that Salt was a unique flake of frozen water.

Lucky me, I just get called someone who makes hats! OP, maybe learn to spell your insults if you want them to have maximum effect?

Oh, and sorry OP, I really don't want to get into an argument with you, and I also don't want to use wikipedia as the end all be all source for this, but:

    http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/reverse_racism

You can be just as racist toward the majority as someone is the minority, just for future reference.

    A) Your grammar and spelling are atrocious.
    B) Racial slurs are any slur based on someone's race.  It matters not whether they are a minority.
    C) "not no slur" =slur.  Double negatives are bad, m'kay?

For the record, you can make a racial slur against someone of any race. By your logic, if I called someone "the n word" in an area with a majority black population that would not be a slur - pretty sure that person would still be offended.

And Tiffany Blue IS robin's egg blue, so you actually are looking for that color.

    <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robin_egg_blue" rel="nofollow">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robin_egg_blue</a>
There, I helped. I'll even help more: you can't choose a color online, every computer screen displays colors differently, so you need to look in person.

So between me helping vs. you hurling insults, I'd be careful who you're calling childish.

Yes, it is possible to use racial slurs against someone who is not a minority, just like it's possible to be racist against either a minority or a non-minority.

I thought "tiffany blue" was the same as pool/robins egg blue?  Alfred Angelo jade is more of a blue green, although my BMs all loved AA Jade (but decided they liked a different fabric better that did not come in jade).  Not sure how close to true color the pictures I have of it are.

    What's an ackrite?

Ok I was trying to refrain from getting involved but REALLY?? Do you really think that? That's a HUGE problem. You can absolutely be racist against any race and it's not okay. Do you run around throwing racial slurs out and just think it's okay based on the fact that person is a "majority"? Yuck.

Oh and yes - don't pick a color based on a computer. I thought I liked a certain color and went in to look at it and it looked completely different.

"Tiffany blue" is a copyrighted color, so the only way you're going to be able to match it exactly is to buy your dresses from Tiffany's.

    Dear OP,

There is a tool bar below the area in which you are typing.  Within that toolbar you will see many icons.  Were we to count these icons, starting at the left, we would come across a wee check mark beset with the letters "ABC" when we reached the number nine.  This is known as spell check.  It is your friend.

    Sincerely,
    Concerned Snowflake

OP - to answer your original question - no this isn't the right board for this.  There is a board called "Attire and Accessories" which might help you.  I'm not sure if they are cool with racial slurs/piecing through your garbage to figure out what the heck you are talking about.
