Hi everyone. I need some advice. I just found out yesterday that two of my bridesmaids went out on their own and bought dresses without ever running it by me. This is stressing me out, but I want to think carefully before I say anything.
The background:
I have told all my bridesmaids that their dresses have to be the same color, and just not floor length. I gave them a swatch and said I didn't even mind if they didn't all get them at the same store, as long as the look was fairly cohesive. We had all decided that we would go to David's Bridal some weekend so that they could all just try things on and make sure we were all on the same page first. We have not done this yet.
I have considered myself a fairly laid-back bride so far, but I am pretty bummed that they disregarded the plan to go out together to look. I don't think I would have been quite so upset if they had even shot me an email with a link asking, "Hey, what do you think of this one?" before going out and ordering it.
To top it off, I did ask for links when I found out and one of the dresses is really awful.
What would you do? Do I let it go and chalk it up to my being too relaxed and this is the consequence or do I ask them if it's possible to return them and then just have the girls shop with me at the same store?
