Hi everyone! I'm having an issue.
I asked my best friend to be my maid of honor. She seemed super excited and immediately wanted to get together to discuss plans.
Then, I picked the dresses, sent her the information and have repeatedly asked if she's bought the dress.
Her response, "I just don't have the money right now. I'll keep an eye on it (Dress is only available online)."
My problem: My wedding is 2 months from today. I don't have the money to pay for her dress because my fiancee and I are trying to pay for as much of the wedding stuff as we possibly can to help my parents. I'm starting to stress that she's not going to get the dress in time... or at all.
I guess my question is, how do I approach this issue?
In a way, I feel like she's waiting for me to break down and pay for her dress. And in some ways, I feel she's SO caught up in her own life (new boyfriend and such) that she's forgotten all about me.
I guess I'm hurt because she won't talk to me about it. I am really ready to just ask, "Do you just not want to be in my wedding?"
I don't know what the deal is. I need to know whether she's going to go through with it or not.
I'm so confused. There's so much more involved. It gets super complicated. But I'm just frustrated and don't know what to do. Any advice on how to approach the topic?
