Bridesmaid Gifts/Survival Kits

I'm looking to do a "bridesmaid survival kit" and have found a few poems online, just wondering if anyone else has a poem for these kits and/or what you are including in your kits.
(I'm also adding personal items for each bridesmaid)

Re: Bridesmaid Gifts/Survival Kits

  • In case my day turns to gray,
here's a kit to make it ok!

haha, I got nothing. Not a fan of kits, but to each his own.

  • Please please PLEASE leave the poem out of it.

"I think bablingbrooke is the 13 yr old marring her cousin at the town hall. Lets all give her a big hand. And hope her inbred children can live normal lives." -tabs.

A word of warning from your friends at Cracked.com: Remember that text is going to be how you make your first impression over the internet; if every third word you type is misspelled, people will automatically assume that you're a moron.
  • I didn't do kits, but the things that my BMs used out of my personal "emergency bag" were insoles (for high heels), and double-sided tape.

  • Probably a waste of money, IMO, but whatever floats your boat.  But I'm 100% with Brooke:  leave out the poem.  Please.
"Trix, it's what they/our parents wanted. Why so judgemental? And why is your wedding date over a year and a half ago? And why do you not have a groom's name? And why have you posted over 12,000 posts? And why do you always say mean things to brides?" palegirl146
  • I'm with PP's, leave out the poem.  Also I agree kits might be a waste of money.  Why not just throw a few essentials in an "emergency bag" like mbcd mentioned?
  • Oh and OP, if you couldn't guess, my poem was sarcastic. I'm with everyone else in the "I don't like the poem idea" boat.

  • I actually like the poem Stina made.  Haha.

I think you should just do one big kit for everyone and call it a day.  No need to make extra work for yourself.
  • If that is part of the BMs gifts, I think it is kind of lame.  Don't bother, they most likely won't use it at the wedding and then they'll just end up tossing it after the wedding.  Save yourself the effort and just do the personal gift you were already planning.
  • Yeah seriously, would you ever be happy to receive bobby pins and travel shampoo?  Think about the stuff in there.  And the rule of thumb is to get them something not for the wedding day.  If I were you, I would create one big kit for everyone to share, because you'll need bases covered too.
