• Did you vote? Absolutely.

Did you have to wait long? Nope. I live in a teeny-weeny town, though, so waiting long is kind of impossible in situations like this.

Did you go to the Rally to Restore Fear/Sanity? Yes! And I loved it. The proof is in my siggy! Although, I will admit, I was there to keep fear alive (I love me some Stephen Colbert). I also heard "Love Train" on the radio this morning and relived the rally again during my commute. It was fabulous.

Was your party successful in winning? I'm not registered with one party, but, of the things/people I voted for, only a few passed/will be in office.

Did you vote?
I did. It's also the first time in my life that I've voted a straight party ticket.

Did you have to wait long?
No. I went mid morning.

Did you go to the Rally to Restore Fear/Sanity?

Yep. It was great!!!

Was your party successful in winning?
Nope. This is going to be interesting.

Did you vote?
I did not. But I have a good reason. I really didn't know enough about my state's candidates to make an informed decision, and what little I knew about either, I didn't really care for ... I think ignorantly just picking the "lesser of two evils" or not making an informed decision takes all the integrity out of voting ... I know a lot of people think that's "wrong" or "Un-American" of me ... but to me being American means yes, I have the right to vote ... but I also have the right to not vote if I don't feel right about it.

Did you have to wait long?
I probably would have. I've waited a half hour just to vote in local elections in my town (Yes, I actually do vote for the school board and stuff like that. Again, I'm all for voting and the democratic process ... I just like being informed before I do it)

Did you go to the Rally to Restore Fear/Sanity?
I did not because we woke up in a hotel in AC that morning, lol. But we really wanted to go!

Was your party successful in winning?
I'm sure by now, nobody will be shocked to hear me say I don't have a party. In NJ you don't have to declare a party when you register to vote, and I've just never felt too attached to any to lock myself in on one. Yes, this means I forfeit voting in the primaries ... but I'm willing to take that hit.

• Did you vote? No. My absentee ballot got here late last week, and between work and my trip to Brazil I honestly did not have time to take it to the Embassy to be delivered. I feel bad because I believe in voting, but oh well.

Did you have to wait long?

Did you go to the Rally to Restore Fear/Sanity? No, but some friends did.

Was your party successful in winning? In CA, we got the governor I would have voted (thank god Meg "I support Prop 8" Whitman was not elected). Nationally, it didn't go so well.
• Did you vote? Yes.

Did you have to wait long? No, just a minute or two.

Did you go to the Rally to Restore Fear/Sanity? No, too far away/not many vacation days left/had a wedding that weekend, etc etc.

Was your party successful in winning? Well, nationally, not really. Locally, everyone I voted for won except for one. Our governor race is still too close to call, but it looks like my party will win even though I didn't vote for him...I voted green in that race.

• Did you vote? Yep :)
Did you have to wait long? Nah, our polling place is right down the street and was empty at 10am
Did you go to the Rally to Restore Fear/Sanity? The wha???
Was your party successful in winning? I don't really vote on party lines...I actually voted for the other guy for PA governor, and he won...which made me happy, because the Dem candidate had been running my county for a while and screwed up big time...I was PRAYING he wouldn't win! As for other offices, they were single-party ballots, so not much to worry about there...
• Did you vote? No. I never bothered to register to vote in California. I sent in my Arizona absentee ballot in 2004 and watched the media call the election before my envelope had even been opened, so I'm a little disenchanted with the process. Likewise, DH was denied the opportunity to vote because he's not registered with a "real party." (He's a registered anarchist/socialist, which is absolutely a real party in California.) I told him to call the ACLU.

Did you have to wait long?

Did you go to the Rally to Restore Fear/Sanity? No, it would have been awesome, though.

Was your party successful in winning? The evil corporate bitches were defeated, and so was the dirty energy prop, so I'm happy. As one of my friends so brilliantly said, "Someone should have told Meg Whitman that the Governor's Mansion doesn't have a 'Buy it Now' option."

This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
• Did you vote? Yes

Did you have to wait long? I had to wait as long as it took them to look up DH in their papers. Which was ages, like half the length of a stop light. Then my name was right by his so it didn't take too long after that.

Did you go to the Rally to Restore Fear/Sanity? No

Was your party successful in winning? The party I'm affiliated was, yes. But I didn't vote straight down party lines and voted 3rd party for some. My party's candidates were my second choices so I was happy with that.

Was your party successful in winning? Sorta. EDIT: Meg. Please. Why didn't you vote for John Runyan? He was an Eagle - clearly he's ready to take public office. He called me about seven times in the past two weeks. Dude, I don't live in NJ. Give it up!

Now see, this is exactly what I was talking about. I had no idea that Runyan was a former Eagle! Had I known that, I totally would have "totally" gone out and voted
