What colors do the Fathers wear?

My wedding colors are Wine (from DB) & White (maybe Ivory linens at the reception..) The bridesmaids are wearing Wine floor length dresses; the Groomsmen are wearing the black tuxes from DB with a matching Wine vest and long tie. I'm wearing a white dress (with silver accents) and the groom is wearing the same style tux as the groomsmen but a white textured vest & long tie.Fathers will have the same style tuxes as everyone, but Wine will look terrible on both our Father's skin tones, so we want something different for them, my mom really wants my dad to wear white, but my fiance and I really don't want that/think it's appropriate~we should be the only ones in white.What colors for vests/ties do you suggest? I think something lighter colored is something mom will be happier with.

We originally were going to have our dads wear silver but once they got to the tux shop they decided they liked black vests better and then they each chose to get a tie to match their respective dates.  I think it looked really sharp with my dad and mom matching and his mom and step-dad and then his dad chose to wear the same color tie as the groomsmen with a black vest.  I really liked the way everything looked!!

We got our tuxes at Men's Wearhouse also, and when we went to pick out everything, they suggested black or grey accessories for the dad's.  (We had already talked to both sets of parents and they wanted both dad's to rent tuxes so they did not have to worry about it.) If you want to go with a lighter color... you could always try a lighter grey, or a grey with a pattern.
