Nolte Farms - Anyone been there?

I'm looking to have my wedding at Nolte Farms, but can't find many reviews on it. We've already been to look so I know what the grounds look like and all that fun stuff. Any comments on food, service, etc? I would really appreciate the feedback! Thanks!

Friends of mine had their wedding there and it turned out really nice. i'm not sure if Nolte Farms did the catering or if you have to bring your own caterer, but the food was good as well. if you are looking for an all outdoor venue, then i would go for it. The only thing i noticed was i heard ppl on the river but this was only one time and it was before the ceremony even started.

I would recommend you stay as far away from Nolte Farms as possible. I have many not-so-nice things to say about the owner and her son and how they ruined a wedding, but I won't share them here. They are very nice until you book and then they want to get as much money from you as possible by grossly overcharging for things like linens, lights, etc. that they will not allow you to bring in from outside. Just as an example, they wanted to charge $20 for paper lanterns hanging in the trees. That is $20 PER lantern which is ridiculous when you can order then online for $2! The food is mediocre at best and the service is severely under par for a wedding. If you do book with them, get everything in writing. Every little detail. Every time the owner says, "of course we do that," get it in writing with her signature becuase when it comes down to your wedding day that is all the proof you have to fight against them. Please email me for more information at meggi_may@hotmail.com and I can share more of the awful details.
