HAve you used PEARL'S PLACE?

I was referred at one point to Pearl's Place for BM dresses at a better price.  I called, and sure enough, received a much better quote for the BM dress I had picked out!  Does anyone have any experiences with Pearl's Place or any advice?  My BM's are all out of town, so they will all separately call in and order their own size and have it shipped to them for alterations.  Thank you for your help!!!!!

Re: HAve you used PEARL'S PLACE?

  • Post this on your local board.
  • Some people on my local have had luck with them.Ziti, my understanding is that Pearl's is a brick and mortar store located in New Orleans but they will ship all over the country.
  • Yes I have as a bm used bot pearls place and netbride. both are much cheaper. Netbride shipps faster but that could have been the dress choice
  • I used PP for my dress and my BMs dresses.  We had great results with everything. The only thing I will tell you is that if you have each BM call their order in separately, they will pay higher shipping rates than if you call in one order for all of them (you can still have each dress shipped to a separate address).   So, if you're willing, it will be cheaper for your BMs if you to collect the money and sizes from all of them, and place the order.

  • One of DD's BM's used PP and saved a ton on her dress.  No problems
  • Stupid computer ate my first response!I got my MOB dress from Pearl's Place and the BMs got theirs from Netbride.  Both had wonderful customer service and we all saved a lot of money.FYI, PP is a real store in the New Orleans area that just happens to do a huge mail order business which allows them to offer such great savings.
  • I used Pearl's Place for my BM dresses.  They gave me a REALLY low price, like half what a local bridal store was trying to charge me.  I paid for all my BM dresses, so I ordered them all together and had no problems.  Not sure how it would be if you had each girl phone in their order. The dresses were inexpensive and came when PP said they would, so I would definitely recommend them if you are trying to save money.  The only semi-downside I would say is having to deal with everything over the phone. They are a brick and mortar company in New Orleans, but they do a lot of phone orders.  If you Google them online, you will read some really bad reviews, but they are from brides who went to the brick and mortar store and the brides say the in-person service is bad.  You will also read tons of good reviews brides who ordered through them over the phone.

  • I used PP for my Bridesmaid dresses. I paid for the dresses, then the girls paid me back. Our shipping was $13 fron New Orleans to North Dakota. They had told me 14 weeks, but the dresses came in in 10. The only draw back was we had to decide which size to order. They sent me a chart and told me to pick the size.  The first lady I talked to didnt want to help  me at all, but the second person was great!
  • I used PP for the BM's dresses..paid for them all..had them shipped to me and they are beautiful. The girls paid me when they picked them up. They did take the full 3 months to arrive though
