Wedding Party

Sort of wedding party related: Eucharistic Ministers

We are having a full mass for our wedding and so we asked one of our friends if he would be a Eucharistic Minister at the mass. He thought about it and decided he wanted to do it but he will need to be commissioned prior to the wedding. He knew this prior to saying yes but this is why we asked him so early- he's traveling for business a lot so we didn't want him to be rushed getting it done. So my question is, he knows he needs to be commissioned. Would you email him the info about getting it done through the archdiocese or just let him find it? I don't want to come off as controlling and being like "Here it is! Do it! Do it now!" but at the same time I don't want to make him hunt down stuff himself if its info I should be supplying...thoughts?

  • I like mbcdefg's sample email. If I'm doing something for a friend, I appreciate it if the friend makes it as easy as possible for me. The less time I have to spend hunting down info, the better. As long as your email has the tone of "for your reference" as opposed to, "start now!" you should be fine.
  • I just wanted to mention that there is a Catholic Brides board under the Cultural boards. The ladies there are very helpful when it comes to preparing for ceremony and for any questions related to marriage prep.

Repeat this to your self: My Wedding Party is made of my family and friends and I should treat them as such.
  • Thanks, I will check it out! I was kind of at a loss of who to consider part of the wedding party, etc.
