Recommend color of shoes for bridesmaids

I'm looking for suggestions for the color of shoes for my bridesmaids.  I was going to let them choose their own style as long as they were around the same color.  Their dresses are strapless, knee length, the main color is "plum" (more of a reddish plum) and the sash is cream/ivory.  The groomsmen are wearing tan suits with brown shoes if that helps at all

Go for something metallic...gold, silver or maybe even bronze. That way they can all find a shoe that they like because their will be so many options in those colors.

Black is probably the easiest.  Ivory/cream is too light for darker dresses.  You could also as the girls what they think will go with the dress they end up choosing.  Just don't do dyeables!
