Hair & Makeup in LA

Does anyone know of a good place in LA (preferably on the west side) for hair and makeup that doesn't cost a fortune?  I still haven't found a place I love in this town.  Please send suggestions!

    This totally depends on what you are looking for and how much you think a fortune is. In LA, when I get my hair cut and colored, it's not out of the question for it to cost $150+. I usually go to Kriza, an Aveda salon in the valley. They do up-dos and makeup as well. That's really the only suggestion I have.
