Disney Maidens?

I'm looking for a price on a Disney Maidens dress. It's the Jasmine collection (KMJ 2855). I would love to know the price and see a color swatch...unfortunately only one store in my state carries it.Before I make the long trek to the store..does anyone have any clue roughly how much it costs?

Re: Disney Maidens?

  • I found this comment on the Disboards from a girl who was trying them on for her sister's wedding: "Just for the record, I tried them on today and they were GORGEOUS! Some more than others. But I found the dresses made of chiffon were stunning. I`m most definitely interested in purchasing one for the wedding. They seemed to range in price from $300-$500 Canadian. I was a little concerned that they would be cheepily made but I was completely surprised and very impressed by the quality of the fabrics and the way they were cut. "
  • holy crap. i would drop out of a wedding so fast if i was asked to spend $300-500 on the dress.anyway, you should call the stroe and ask.
  • I definitely cannot see paying that much for a dress. Maybe...it won't be that much!
  • I don't know about their maidens collection, but when I tried on the princess dresses I wanted to shoot the consultant who was helping me - the dress was over 4K and my limit was 2K!!! Even with the trunk show discount it was going to be in the upper 3s. Unless you're planning on paying for your girls dresses or paying for 75% of their dresses, please consider looking at another designer. However, you can get prices from Kirstie Kelly if you call her home store in CA, if you insist on going this route.

RIP Dr. Irving Fishman - 10/1/19-7/25/10 - thank you for holding on for me.
You made my wedding day complete.
  • That's a LOT to spend on a BM dress. And as a HUGE Disney nut (i.e. had my bach party at Disneyland), I would kind of laugh at a bride who asked me to buy from the Disney Maidens collection. How about seeing what a seamstress would charge to make it? I'll bet it's less. And a similar dress can definitely be found for less somewhere else.

  • Unless you are paying for their dresses, don't bother.  That collection runs about the same as every above said, roughly $300-$500 before alterations.
  • so the disney label is what makes these so expensive?

  • I've been so underwhelmed by the Disney wedding collection.  Both the wedding and bridesmaid dresses are pretty generic, and crazy overpriced.  Plus, only a few of them actually remind me of the princess they're supposed to be "inspired by," and then only usually because they tell you who it's supposed to be.There's always eBay.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
