Is anyone getting married at Grand Hyatt or St. Regis in Kauai

Is anyone getting married in kauai, if so, what are your thoughts on Grand Hyatt vs. St. Regis?? The sales manager at St. Regis is almost impossible to get a hold of and I'm debating because of the 30 room night requirement that they have.  I don't know much about Hyatt so I figured I'd ask you :)

  • Try the Hawaii board or Destination Weddings board.

A word of warning from your friends at Cracked.com: Remember that text is going to be how you make your first impression over the internet; if every third word you type is misspelled, people will automatically assume that you're a moron.
  • I am not getting married on Kauai, but I am honeymooning there. The only advice I can give is that room-wise, it's much, much more expensive to stay at the St Regis. Granted, it's not like your guests HAVE to stay there, but it's something to consider. Also, what time of year are you doing this? Kauai is the rainiest of the islands, and the north side is always rainier than the south side. St. Regis is in Princeville (north) and the Grand Hyatt is in Poipu (south).
  • Oh! Also. The St. Regis was formerly the Princeville Resort. They *just* finished a massive renovation to become the St. regis. So I expect they're probably still working out a few kinks, and that might be why the sales manager has been hard to reach.
