Special Maid of Honor Gift

My Fiance's sister is my Maid of Honor. We have already purcased hand made jewelry for all the Bridesmaid's (including her) as well as personalized tote bags. I really wanted to do something else for her. She is 21 years old and a Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma Surviver. I was thinking of making a cash contribtion to the Lymphoma Society, but I have decided against that as we are making donations in the name of each of our guests to the Jimmy Fund as wedding favors. I feel like that would be overlapping a bit. Any suggestions?

A donation is not really a favor (in my opinion, it is done in lieu of favors), but that's neither here nor there in regard to your question.

Shop for her as if it were her birthday or Christmas. What does she enjoy? You could get her a GC to a favorite store, tickets to a concert or sporting event, etc. You know her, so think about things that she would be thrilled to receive.

Your gifts to your BMs shouldn't be themed around your wedding. Therefore, if the only thing stopping you from making the donation in her name is that you're giving donation wedding favors, then make the donation if you know for a fact that she'd love that.

Otherwise, think of something else she wants. Pay attention when she mentions things that she might like to buy for herself. See if she's got an Amazon.com wish list or something.
