Is it rude to send out save the dates with only five months notice? We are having a short engagement, but wanted to give some warning...

    Honestly I would just skip them at this point.  Wedding invitations give plenty of notice to all of your guests.

    They aren't necessary but it wouldn't be rude to send them out now. But, the sooner the better. We sent ours about 5 1/2 months. This probably sounds weird, but I always loved looking at other people's. Even if I was at a friend's house and didn't even know the B & G. So, I was really excited to design and send mine!

    I don't think it would be rude but I do think it would be a waste of money.  You can do a e-STD however I would do it ASAP. My brother also had a short engagement and they didn't send STDs.
