WOW!  Congrats Tide!  You're in for some fun.  Fraternal twins run in my family--3 sets on my mom's side.  DH says he expects a pair, and frankly so do I.  Very jealous of you

Thank you!  Fraternal are two seperate eggs, so there's a chance that it could be a boy/girl pair.  That's what I'm hoping for.

ManW - I know!  If we have a boy, he will still be named Tristan.  If we have 2, I think I'll die

I've been a crazy lady tonight so I'm sorry I didn't get on til just now.  I made homemade mac and cheese for dinner and then I just tried a new recipe for apple cookie bars.  We have our second open house on Sunday.  First one didn't get great results (no one came) but I'm hoping that the scent of apples, cinnamon and fall spices will lure people inside.

Can I also take a moment to mod for a sec?

Yesterday there was a person on here who I think was a troll.  In the post, she claimed her best friend was gay  and had to dwell on it for every post down to implying that because he was gay he'd need to cross dress for the wedding.  Later she laughed about the way that people responded.

It was ignorant, out of line, and just not amusing at all.  In light of National Coming Out Day but also in light of the recent sucides by gay teens, I'm really dismayed to see that someone came on the boards and really made light of the persecution that gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered individuals must endure.  It saddens me that some younger people still don't "get" it..

Tide!!!   Hooray for babies~and double hooray for twin babies.  My dad was a twin~I always thought it would be pretty fun to have twins.  I'm so happy for you.

banana:  thanks for that about the poster yesterday.  The poster's insensitivity really riled me up.  I hope she was a troll, but sadly, I'm not sure she was.  I think that she imagined herself to very hip and witty.  But I just don't get it.  I was quite happy that so many called her out on her OP and then the sad f/u posts.

Hope you get some "lookers" at your open house, banana.  Well, I take that back.  I hope you get some buyers at your open house!

It upset me too.  I don't know that banning will do any good.  I don't think the AE / Troll will be back as that person anyway.

But it's bothered me enough that I needed to speak up about it tonight.

I agree Banana, although I'm inclined to believe that she's 12.  I wasn't around for that, but it was a horrible, ignorant post.  It pissed me off to read it, and I was sorry that I missed it, because I would have had a bunch to say.

Good luck with your open house, Banana!  I'm sure cinnamon and apples will help.

Tldh - she's not quite old enough yet to know what it means.  She'll be about 17 months when the babies come, so she may be old enough to understand, then.

ManW - If we have girls, I think we've decided on Lorelei Paige and Gwendolyn Lee.  We still need another boy's name, though.

I knew there was a reason something was telling me not to open that post.  I've been having to count to ten on several boards the last few days.  There is another rash of Newbies screaming that we are mean viscous hags whose only purpose in life is to ruin their happy wedding planning.

Banana - I really hope that you get an offer on your condo soon.  DH and I want to be out of our townhouse in the next year or so.  The one upside for us (and I hope it still holds true next year) is the homeowners association has noticed a lot of families moving into our neighborhood to get their kids in our school system.

Oh wow, twins!  That's so exciting!!  Congratulations, Tide!  Also I *love* your name chocies!  Gwendolyn and Paige have always been favourites of mine and those combinations are gorgeous.
