In your experience, what company has the worst tele-customer service?   Amazon. They are fine online but try to find a phone number to call and it's like looking for a popsicle in Hell. Also, if you do find it, you are 99% likely to get someone in Bangalore who is difficult to understand.

Have you ever tried to cash a check and it bounce? What did you do?  No.

Are you ready for summer?  YES!

Any vacation plans coming up?  Nope, we just got back from a 2-week HM so we're on hiatus for now. Although DH travels for work and I might take a long wknd out to visit him rather than him coming home that wknd so we can visit Sonoma / wine area together next month!

Favorite water sport: Sitting on a boat. :-)

Worst customer service? Direct TV. They lost one of my checks and the customer service was in mexico. They didn't understand anything I was trying to tell them and kept giving me advice on another problem (that I didn't have).

Bounced Check? No thank goodness

Summer? Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes

Vacation? To the beach with mom in August and on the honeymoon with FI in October!

Water Sport? I like to ride around in the boat. I'm not very good at water sports.

I haven't called that many customer service lines (usually leave it up to DH), but my old credit card really sucked because I could never understand what the hell the person was saying.

Have you ever tried to cash a check and it bounce? What did you do?
No, thankfully.

Are you ready for summer?
Yes, I'm so tired of the cold.

Any vacation plans coming up?
No, the we're still recovering from the wedding/honeymoon. And we want to save for a trip next summer with the family.

Favorite water sport:
I love to ski and wakeboard, but I haven't done it in years.

In your experience, what company has the worst tele-customer service?Comcast Cable. When their site was down and I couldn't pay my bill online they still wanted to charge me the phone fee. Um, your lame ass site being down is not my fault, how bout you fix it, k?

Have you ever tried to cash a check and it bounce? What did you do?Nope, never happened.

Are you ready for summer? For summer fun, yes, for crazy humidity and super hot days, no.

Any vacation plans coming up?Maybe a short jaunt to the beach in August.

Favorite water sport:Kayaking. Is that a sport?

Have you ever tried to cash a check and it bounce? What did you do?: No

Are you ready for summer?: It's been 100 degrees here for a couple months now.  It's already summer.

Any vacation plans coming up?: We're going to Panama City for 4th of July, but that's it.

Favorite water sport: I don't really have one

Yes I also hate Chase....but I equally hate AT&T.

Have you ever tried to cash a check and it bounce? What did you do?
No

Are you ready for summer?
Kind of.  I like summer but it gets WAY too hot here!  It's only the first part of June and its already feeling like 100 degrees outside.  It will be a hot summer.

Any vacation plans coming up?
Not really.  We may go visit my FI's sister in Oklahoma City for a weekend, but thats about it.

In your experience, what company has the worst tele-customer service? Ugh, I always had major problems with verizon. Thank god I'm not the one responsible for cell phone bills anymore.
Have you ever tried to cash a check and it bounce? What did you do? I've never been in the situation.
Are you ready for summer? Oh hellz yes! I love summer....
Any vacation plans coming up? Well, I am doing summerstock for a month in Maine. When I'm not rehearsing I will be poolside.
Favorite water sport: Waterpolo. In High school, I got a lot of my agression out in the pool. I was a competetive swimmer and even went to Jr. Olympics for it. When I discovered that I could swim fast, shoot balls into a goal, and even punch chicks in the face and get lettered for it, I was game.

In your experience, what company has the worst tele-customer service?
Time Warner Cable.  They really suck.  We just had an issue with our cable going mute.  The picture would be there but the sound kept going out so we would miss half of that was said.  I called and they told me because my name isn't on the bill they couldn't answer any questions even though I told them it's my husband who's on the bill.  Idiots.

Have you ever tried to cash a check and it bounce? What did you do?
I've worked for a couple of restaurants where my paycheck would bounce.  I would constantly go back to work and tell them to pay me in cash out of the register because I couldn't cash my check.

Are you ready for summer?
Yep.  Very excited to relax and not think about school.

Any vacation plans coming up?
DH taking me to Disney to rejoice in another semester down.  And we are going to FL in July to celebrate my parents birthdays.

Favorite water sport:
Lately I've enjoyed the sport of laying in a float on the water.  It's a very time consuming sport and not recommended for the weak of heart (or very fair skinned folks).

In your experience, what company has the worst tele-customer service? American Airlines isn't the worst, but they've certainly gotten a lot worse lately. Apparently they fired a bunch of people over the past few years and have more or less told agents not to help even frequent flyers in order to save money...great strategy.

Have you ever tried to cash a check and it bounce? What did you do? Nope

Are you ready for summer? Yes, always...if only it weren't winter here :(

Any vacation plans coming up? Yup, our CA trip in July!

Favorite water sport: Tubing. I guess it's not really a sport, since I just sit there, but it's fun!

In your experience, what company has the worst tele-customer service?  Verizon.  ETA:  No, I change my mind to Comcast.

Have you ever tried to cash a check and it bounce? What did you do?  I had one bounce because it was staledated.  I got them to replace it.

Are you ready for summer?  I don't like heat, so I would prefer it stay in the 70s.  Other than that, yes.

Any vacation plans coming up?  A friend's wedding in New Mexico.

Favorite water sport:  Things that involved water + no effort on my part = awesome.

Time Warner Cable. Even the techs know nothing.
Have you ever tried to cash a check and it bounce? What did you do?
Not that I remember

Are you ready for summer?
I had better be. Its here. It was 100 this weekend, and has been in the 90s at 10pm the last few nights.
Any vacation plans coming up?
We are going in FL to see my FILs next weekend. They want to take me snorkeling. Its a long story and I wish we could wait until August when work is not so crazy, but they must see us NOW.
Favorite water sport:
Open water swimming .... oh, and floating with adult beverages. That should be a sport if it isn't already.

ETA- I really want to try stand up paddling, and there are several groups here that do clinics, but I haven't had time to go to one yet. It looks like so much fun, and I see myself having yet another hobby..

The Passport office.  I would be on hold for 20+ minutes, then they would disconnect my call.

Yes, definitely!

Canoe trip in August

You would think maybe canoeing, since I just mentioned a canoe trip, but mostly I just sit there while FI paddles. :)

Sitting by the pool is my favorite water sport.

In your experience, what company has the worst tele-customer service? Verizon. We used to get Internet through them that would screw up every other week. There's something terribly enraging about being told that you need to reset the modem 900 times and then being put on hold for a day when it doesn't work.

Have you ever tried to cash a check and it bounce? What did you do? Yes. It was a birthday check from a family member, so thankfully, it was just special money and not a paycheck or anything. I just ignored it.

Are you ready for summer? No. I'm ready for winter again. I look so chic in sweaters but so pasty white in shorts.

Any vacation plans coming up? I'm trying to plan a "surprise" trip for my fiance's birthday in July. That's the only thing in the foreseeable future.

Favorite water sport: Diving. I am in complete admiration of people who can do that.
In your experience, what company has the worst tele-customer service?
Gosh, I'm not sure. I haven't had to call anywhere in a while. I do work as a tele-customer service rep for Comcast until 9pm today (then I'm FREEEEE!), so I do know what it is like. My technical term day is tomorrow. But as of Thursday, ask me anything you wanna know.
Have you ever tried to cash a check and it bounce? What did you do?
Nope. Although, at the beginning of my freshman year of college, when I was not so good at balancing the checkbook, I did have one of my checks bounce. It was for less than $10 for chicken nuggets at McDonald's...they ended up costing me over $50 after fees and whatnot.
Are you ready for summer?
YES!
Any vacation plans coming up?
Um, sort of. Going to CA on Saturday to find a new place of residence.
Favorite water sport:
One that my siblings, neighbors, and I made up in our pool when we were little--it was called line tag. Basically, everyone had to be touching the wall of the pool at all times, except at the "bridge" which was where there are two ladders at the same place on opposite sides of the pool--you could cross the pool there. Everyone has to go in one direction around the pool, including the "it" person. The tricky part is that "it" gets one chance per time being "it" to change the direction everyone is going. It is great fun if you ever have at least 4 people in a pool together.

If it involves drinking and rolling down a river like we do here, I think it counts. People underestimate the balance and control you need to have to stay on your tube while drunk <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-tongue-out.gif" border="0" alt="Tongue out" title="Tongue out" />.

In your experience, what company has the worst tele-customer service? Probably WellsFargo.  I love banking there but I really hate when I have a question about something and it takes forever to get through to someone.  Either them or my cable company.

Have you ever tried to cash a check and it bounce? What did you do?  Me?  Bounce a check?  NEVAH!  But in all seriousness... I'm so neurotic about my finances.  I know what happens to every single penny.  Not that I'm a cheapskate, cuz I'm not.  I just like to make sure that I know exactly what I have.

Are you ready for summer? How many ways can I say YES?!?!

Any vacation plans coming up? Twins game, Valley Fair, a week in Huntington Beach.  And lots of weekends at the lake.

Favorite water sport: I love skiing, swimming.  When I'm at the coast - I love body surfing and boogie boarding.

Oh anyone who said tubing is not a sport.....um, I could go either way. My dad's version is definitely a game if not a sport. He drives the boat CARAZY! His whole plan is to see how fast he can get you in the water. lol, you always have to hold on for dear life and hope that he doesn't whip you around....

And Stage, if you ever came to NY, I'd teach you how to swim. I used to teach children.

And I am surprised no one said favorite water sport was slip and slide....because if I had enough room in my backyard, I'd definitely have one.

Yeah, I've only been tubing with family friends, and the dad (who drives the boat) is a total stereotypical macho man who likes everything to be fast and extreme. It definitely feels like a sport even just hanging on.

I didn't think of slip n slide! Although I am the reigning champion from my company's Olympics day...such a random claim to fame.

In your experience, what company has the worst tele-customer service? Blue Cross Blue Shield.  They disconnected me multiple times and when I finally was able to talk to someone, I was told I had to call a completely different number.  I don't have that insurance anymore.

Have you ever tried to cash a check and it bounce? What did you do?  yes, freshman year of college.  A girl on my hall needed cash for something and wrote me a check.  It was the end of the semester and I didn't cash it until summer.  I'd forgotten about it by fall semester, so I don't think I did anything.  It was only $35.

Are you ready for summer?  It's summer already.  Once the semester ended, it was summer for me.

Any vacation plans coming up?  Does going with FI when he takes boards in August count?

Favorite water sport:  kayaking

In your experience, what company has the worst tele-customer service?  Hmm.  I have to deal with Dell on a regular basis for work, so we'll go with them.

Have you ever tried to cash a check and it bounce? What did you do?  DH tried depositing a check that was a wedding gift from his uncle into the ATM at his credit union, and it bounced.  Turns out it was because it was made out to both of us.  We both went to the bank, and they would only let us cash because we had a joint checking account there (which we never use).  Not deposit, cash.  It was really dumb.

Are you ready for summer?  I had to sleep with two fans and a humidifier last night.  It's already summer.  I'm ready for fall.

Any vacation plans coming up?  Well, we're taking two half days next week to go see the Toy Story marathon at the El Capitan, but the wedding sort of blew our vacation time for the year.  We might day-trip down to San Diego to go to Sea World sometime soon.

Favorite water sport:  Body surfing

AMERICAN AIRLINES all the way! I could not agree more with you EMILYINCHILE! I also hate talking to Verizon although I can see they are sometimes trying to be nice...

Are you ready for summer?
Could not be more ready!

Any vacation plans coming up?
Unfortunately no, we took our vacation in March this year to the Bahamas, Key West, Miami, and CoCo Cay... But we will have plenty of trips to the lake that will act as a good vacation.

In your experience, what company has the worst tele-customer service? Comcast. We actually had a friend that does tech support for Vonage make the call for us because he knew what the problem was (But it was something that couldn't be fixed on our end). The first guy he spoke to treated him like an idiot, and after 20 minutes of our friend saying "Look, I know this isn't something that can't be fixed with rebooting, because we've already tried that" the guy finally said (direct quote) "Listen, man, my shift's over in 5 minutes, and I'm going to be leaving on time, so if you want a truck to come out tomorrow, I can schedule one, otherwise, I can't do anything for you, and if we show up and nothing's wrong, we're charging you for the visit". We declined the truck, saying "Nobody will be home tomorrow" hung up, called back 2 minutes later, got a new (much nicer) rep, who told us that the guy scheduled the truck to come, and that if we hadn't been there for it, we would have been charged whether or not there was actually a problem (She then cancelled it for us) ... and then proceeded to solve the problem for us. We then asked to be transferred to a supervisor so we could give her a glowing review and rake the first guy over the coals.

Have you ever tried to cash a check and it bounce? What did you do? Never happened to me, but I used to be a bank teller and you'd be surprised how often people bounce checks.

Are you ready for summer? Yes! I hate cold weather.
