Black shoes in the SUMMER?

Hi knotties. I would love to have my bridesmaids wear black shoes with this dress. I am getting married in early July. Do you think this is appropriate? I just want to keep it simple, every girl owns black shoes. And I think the black shoes look really elegant.

Black shoes are appropriate any time of the year. But you might want to consider that they would like to wear something else, like silver. Which would brighten up the look.

Black is a neutral color and can be worn any time of the year, plus no one really pays any attention to the bms' shoes.

To follow up with duckie's post: please have your BMs try on dresses before you get your heart totally set on one. They look SO different on - the dresses I'd like online didn't look great on my BMs, and the one we went with I think looks better on them than on the Bill Levkoff model. I think it's fine to ask your friends to all wear the same dress that's not their style and that they'll never wear again, but it's not fine to ask all that and on top of it make them feel ugly.

Black shoes in the summer are fine.

Our groomswoman tried on that dress and really liked it, but it didn't come in the right color.  The ones whose opinions matter most are the ones who need to wear it.  Remember, a bridesmaid who feels beautiful will look beautiful, and a bridesmaid who feels uncomfortable will look it.

Ditto aerin.  Just because the WP I happened to be in didn't like it doesn't mean your BMs won't love it.  Make sure they try it on first and make sure they tell you the truth about how they like/don't like it before you make a final decision.

I like the choices as well....as a very curvy, busty chick, I would totally feel comfortable wearing either.
