Are you friendly with your neighbors? Very. We moved in during Feb and already have each other over for drinks/dinner, have tailgates together, etc. They are all either late 20s or early 30s so we are around the same age and have things in common. ( I was debating doing a separate post about them actually).

My neighborhood could be described as family oriented.

If I didn't live where I live, I would want to live in a more rural country area because I FI and I grew up on farms and we want tons of land and animals. EDIT: I'm also determined to have the vaca house at Edisto Beach, SC. It's our little "spot" and where FI and I got engaged.

The last crime that took place near my house was petty larceny. One of the neighbors down the street left her purse in her passenger seat at a ball game. Someone busted the window and took it. We hear all about everything because FI is a cop. Seriously though...you almost deserve to get your purse stolen for being stupid enough to leave it out and wide open!

  • Are you friendly with your neighbors? Not really.  We'll smile and say "hi" but we're not closs or anything.

My neighborhood could be described as pretty boring and quiet.  We live in an apartment complex, so it's pretty much dead.

If I didn't live where I live, I would want to live in Massachusetts because I love it there.  Or in Newport, RI.  In my dreams, at least.

The last crime that took place near my house was a few months ago.  Someone actually scaled one of the balconies, broke into the apartment, and walked out the front door with a bunch of stuff.

  • Are you friendly with your neighbors? Yes.  We wave and say hi and chat it up sometimes.

My neighborhood could be described as quiet and safe.  I accidentially left the garage door open all day one time last year while H and I were at work, and nothing was stolen from our garage or our house.  Now I make sure I watch the garage door close completely before I drive away.

If I didn't live where I live, I would want to live near the beach because it's the beach!!

The last crime that took place near my house was possible arson?  A house a block away from us burned down a couple of months ago, and I never heard the cause.  The paper only said it was being investigated.  Our neighbors said the lady renting the house had issues with her boyfriend, and that he had left the day before the house caught fire.  Everyone made it out ok, and I can't say I'm sad to see the rental house people go.  Their kids were disrespectful.  I'm not saying I'm glad their house burned down, but I'm glad they are gone.

  • Are you friendly with your neighbors?
Not really. I live in a condo "village" that's 15 minutes away from a big tourism town in the summer ... most of the units are just summer homes for people who couldn't afford houses/condos in the actual town. I actually don't have a lot of neighbors from September to May. When the summer people are here, they party all night, make lots of noise and annoy the crap out of me (Well, they are'bennies', aka "tourists")

My neighborhood could be described as
Quiet and nice, in the winter. Like as said, kind of annoying in the summer

If I didn't live where I live, I would want to live I wouldn't mind staying in the same town, but I'd like to move a couple more miles inland, into an actual house because that side of town is pretty much all people that live here year round (I actually grew up here), so no jerky OOT-ers. And because I'd love to live in an actual house, lol.

The last crime that took place near my house was a drug bust a couple streets away that happened before the wedding. My town is actually pretty "safe" for the most part. Every couple of years, a drug dealer will set up shop, but they always get busted (Or, sometimes killed) pretty quickly.

  • Are you friendly with your neighbors? We say hi to most people in our building, and we chat with some of the dog owners who live nearby who we run into on walks - one couple we now consider friends.

My neighborhood could be described as residential. It's close to everything, but our area itself is tree-lined streets and quieter.

If I didn't live where I live, I would want to live in California because I miss it.

The last crime that took place near my house was probably robbery. I know a few apartments in a neighboring building were burglarized a couple months ago.
  • Are you friendly with your neighbors?   YES AND NO. I’VE PARTIED WITH THE ONES ON ONE SIDE. BUT HAVE A LONG STANDING FUED WITH THE OTHER SIDE.My neighborhood could be described as : MIDDLE CLASS WITH TONS A KIDS EVERYWHERE!If I didn't live where I live, I would want to live  IN THE VILLAGE because ITS ADORABLE WITH COBBLESTONE STREETS AND OLD STORE FRONTS. ALTHOUGH I WILL PROBABLY NEVER BE ABLE TO AFFORD THE TAXES LOL The last crime that took place near my house was WE HAVE A TINY APARTMENT BUILDING AT THE TOP OF THE STREET AND THEIR HOME TO SOME UNSAVORY CHARACTERS. LAST TIME I REMEMBER WAS SOME DRUG RELATED CRIME.
  • Are you friendly with your neighbors?  Not really.  I hate to say it, but most of them don't speak English.

My neighborhood could be described as pretty decent considering the area.

If I didn't live where I live, I would want to live on Catalina Island because it's gorgeous and quiet, close enough to LA that we could still do stuff, but far enough that we don't have to deal with douchey people all the time.

The last crime that took place near my house was I can't really think of any, though apparently the surrounding apartment complexes are all dens of iniquity.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

Are you friendly with your neighbors? Some of them...but not in the "get together on Friday Night" sort of way...
My neighborhood could be described as a sad remnant of what it used to be...my neighborhood is turning into a place where I no longer feel safe letting my children play outside...and I HATE it :(
If I didn't live where I live, I would want to live in the southern part of the city because my dad, FI's sisters and my BFF live there, and it's a nicer area.
The last crime that took place near my house was a drug bust...it was my brother...
  • Are you friendly with your neighbors? Not really, we only bond when something happens (like hurrican Ike, no power for 2 weeks)

My neighborhood could be described as quiet.

If I didn't live where I live, I would want to live in my own house because I currently live with parents.

The last crime that took place near my house was 20 yr old girl committed suicide because her bf cheated.
  • Are you friendly with your neighbors? I'm not "unfriendly"...but we rarely see them, and if we do, it's just a "hello".  Occasionally FI will chat more with someone with an animal, but we don't often run into our neighbors.

My neighborhood could be described as growing.  There are condos going up like crazy behind our apartments, and the rest of the town is growing, too.

If I didn't live where I live, I would want to live in Colorado because FI used to live there and says it's beautiful.  I've never been, but if we could find jobs, we'd try it out for a few years.

The last crime that took place near my house was a little over a year ago, police were called for a domestic thing across the hall.  I don't know how it turned out, but things were quiet over there after that.
